However I didn't get the product key when I downloaded it. I responded to the 'Welcome to Project' twice (on July 3 and July 10) that I was only getting a 1 week trial, not a 60 day trial. I also posted to the following forum where Julie Sheets tried to assist me. However I haven't gotten anywhere yet. We established that I see a different set of screens downloading the trial then she does. I've repeated the downloaded 5 times or more as the installer software didn't ask for Admin privileges in a User account on my laptop - it just stopped running; it took me a few tries to figure out to use 'Save As' for the download then 'Run as Admin' for the downloaded file. Regardless, I wasn't able to use Project past that one week. I used a clients copy during a subsequent contract and made progress in learning it's capabilities & limits, but haven't been able to test it on my own time. I'm working in Alberta, Canada and the 2 formats typically specified are MS Project and Primavera. As a subcontractor that leaves me 2 options: use MS Project, or write client supplied scheduling software into contracts. I'm hesitant to spend on software where a trial isn't supported, but also don't want to add clauses to contracts in a competitive job market. Please help me resume the trial. Hey Julie, I'd crafted the reply but apparently didn't submit it. I've gone through the download process with both IE 10 and 11, with the same result each time. I always get directed to a different website (http2://profile.microsoft.com/RegSysProfileCenter/.) where there's no project key. I'm downloading from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. ![]() I was able to download and install the trial without the product key. It worked fine for a week, then required either the account I used for the download or a product key. The account I used (and that I use for the forums) wasn't accepted and I never got a product key. I've received 2 automatic welcome to Project emails, so my account is partly recognized. I'll try Shazeb's suggestion to reinstall when I've got higher bandwidth later today.
